Guillermo De Angelis is an Italian-Argentine Photographer and artist. This series is called 'Diegesis' (meaning 'narrative' in Greek) and was taken between 2010 and 2014 in Spain and Argentina. There is a peace and serenity to the series at the same time as a curious sense of modernity with the strong blocked colours. For De Angelis, Diegesis is a style of storytelling, presenting characters, situations and events in a flurry of narrative.
"I try to get the expression through the economy of resources. Focusing on the details that strike me as essential. Suggesting clearly, presenting without describing. Diegesis is a series of simple landscape motion blurs in search of a chromatic abstraction. The purpose was to show beyond the landscape, as if one looks without seeing through a car window. Opposite to traditional landscapes, these photographs, instead of contributing, require more from the viewer."
